Change in promotion strategy due to Meta's changes
There has been some recent changes in the way that Meta allows you to advertise on your Facebook Business Pages
Within a calendar month, it is suggested that:
You create 30 posts (Reel, image or text) per month (roughly one per day)
You share 14 stories per month (that is roughly one every second day).
On the Meta plan for Dreamweavers Records International's Facebook page, we are allowed:
8 links in reels per month (two per week), I accept this includes posts in stories)
8 links in posts per month (two per week).
The one advantage is that we can add more links in our Facebook Page's About Section
Based on the above, Dreamweavers will adapt it's promotion plan for Meta to adhere to these criteria and thereby optimizing outcomes for our artists.
We will post one reel per week and one story per week with the necessary links. For general promotion of our platform it will be our website address and for signed artists that we are busy promoting in the pre-save and pre-release stage, it will be the link to their Dreamweavers Records International's website artist page.
Two image with text posts will be created per week, one for our platform and one for the current Featured Signed Artist.
No reposts or reshare will be done any more for members posting in our Facebook groups. The fact that you have pre-approved posting rights in our groups, as a featured artist, signed artists or paid subscriber, is already a promotion benefit. We will continue to promote and build our groups.
Dreamweavers Record's International will from now on share these four promotional posts per week to all our co-managed and promoted Facebook Groups as well as Featured Artists fan groups (except we won't promote another artist in your group).
We really didn't want to share promotional material to your fan groups, but since other platforms seems to have no issue doing that (even their own karaoke covers), and it seems many of you allow it, it's only fair that Dreamweavers should be promoted in those groups more that other platforms or artists. Dreamweavers will remove posts made in your fan groups not related to you, your music or the Dreamweavers Platform.
More effort will be made to posts reels and stories than image and text posts, it just works better.
Reels should not be longer than 15 secs, ideally 10 secs, it yields better engagements results.
(followers will much more likely watch a whole 10 sec reel than a full music video)
That will lead to much better outcomes than if followers only watched 10 secs of a 4 minute music video!
The focus when you create your reels, is to ask yourself this:
How will I start a reel so that it grabs the followers attention in the first 3 seconds?
How do I then keep it interesting enough (or good enough) for them to stay for 10 secs?
Adding the audio of the hook of the song, or the part where you feel you really shined, might help.
Use stickers that encourage engagement (but don't overdo it).
Don't start the first 3 seconds of your reel with a still picture and silence. But do add a presentable thumbnail for the reel.
Please note that these above guidelines is not applicable to Meta's Sponsored Promotion campaigns. The philosophy there is to pay and they deliver lol.
