Suno v6 is a major generation shift for the platform, built from the ground up in direct partnership with music industry rightsholders like Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe. It replaces previous models with a suite designed for surgical audio editing, multimodal creation, and professional DAW-style workflows.

​The Three-Model Suite

​Rather than a single monolithic model, the v6 generation is split into three variants tailored to different creative stages:

• ​v6 (Flagship): Available to Pro and Premier subscribers. Designed for precision, consistency, and fidelity across all mainstream genres. It follows structural instructions closely and delivers polished, production-ready tracks.

• ​v6-wild: Also for paid tiers, this model is built for exploration and happy accidents. It leans into unconventional genre blending, aggressive textures, and unexpected arrangements, functioning like an unpredictable creative collaborator.

• ​v6-mini: The free, lightweight model available to everyone. It operates faster and with lower latency, making it ideal for rapid prototyping, drafting lyrical hooks, or generating initial concepts before scaling up.

​Key Capabilities and Upgrades

• ​Natural-Language Section Editing: Instead of regenerating whole segments or guessing with splice regions, you can command specific section changes (e.g., "Change the chorus so it's sung by a gospel choir" or "Swap the acoustic strumming in the verse for an arpeggiated synth") while leaving the rest intact.

• ​Micro Lyric Replacement: You can fix a mispronounced word, change an artist name, or alter a single line (e.g., "Change 'love' to 'light'") without re-rendering the surrounding track.

• ​Integrated Mashups & Stems: Suno can now sample and isolate audio within a single prompt. For example, you can tell it: "Sample the guitar riff at 0:45 from Track A, take the vocal phrasing from Track B, and build an 80s synthwave beat under it".

​Model Architecture and Industry Licensing

​Unlike early versions trained on scraped web data, v6 was rebuilt from scratch incorporating licensed catalogs from major labels and distributors, accompanied by a revenue-sharing system for participating rightsholders and artists. While older models (v3, v3.5, v5) have been retired from active creation, past user libraries remain intact and can be remastered or extended using v6.
